Prestigious Gold Award Recognises Innovation At COVVI

We’re proud to announce that COVVI has won the Gold Award for the ‘Most Innovative Solution’ award in the Digital Health and Social Care category at the 2022 E&T Innovation Awards.

Donna Wilson (Group Finance Director) and John Wilkinson (Production Lead) travelled down to London to attend the glamourous ceremony at the Hilton, which was a fantastic evening shared with some of the UK’s greatest technology firms. They took a COVVI Hand and demo socket with them to showcase the technology to the engineering professionals in attendance, who were amazed at what is now possible in the field of modern prosthetics. The whole team is immensely proud of their work and this award joins our growing trophy cabinet as a testament to the amazing work they do each and every day to further our mission of changing lives around the world!

When asked why we had been chosen for this award, the IET said that COVVI “was chosen following intense competition from many and very different innovations. [The COVVI Hand’s] innovation combines established, improved designs with clever engineering solutions, new technology and a participative process of development with contributions from technological experts, clinicians and patients. It brings together the necessary elements that improve the quality of life for many people, throughout their lifetime”.
