Modern Slavery Policy

COVVI’s Ongoing Commitment Combating Slavery

Our Employees:

Within our organisation, we are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful working environment through a robust, non-discriminatory recruitment process and legally compliant employment practices. This includes the explicit verification that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK.

We routinely ensure that we are compliant with National Minimum Wage legislation and keep abreast of changes in employment legislation on an ongoing basis.

Our Supply Chain:

Within our supply chain, we utilise our Supplier Evaluation & Approval process to request information from suppliers in relation to their own Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policies and undertake our own due diligence as part of the supplier approval process. The company will not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or abroad which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

We acknowledge that imported goods from sources from outside the UK and EU are potentially more at risk for slavery/human trafficking issues. The level of management control required for these sources will be continually monitored.

Responsibility & Management:

The company director and senior management shall take responsibility for implementing this policy and shall provide adequate resources and investment to ensure we meet our zero-tolerance target.

Our Group Finance Director and Supply Chain Manager are required to complete training on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery to help identify and prevent the occurrence within our business or supply chain.

This policy will be reviewed and updated on an annual basis
