Why The COVVI Hand Is Right For You
COVVI believes in equipping our users with the latest in upper-body prosthetic tech, personalised in a way that speaks to your unique self. Something that is undeniably you.

        Smart Fingertips
By pressing down on each COVVI fingertip, users can change to a new grip that they have programmed through the COVVI Go App.
For instance, holding the fingertip or pressing it against a hard surface can instantly activate the Finger Point grip pattern, ideal for interacting with touchscreens and keyboards.

        Touchscreen Compatibility
The COVVI Hand’s index finger works seamlessly with touchscreens, making it perfect for use with tablets, smartphones, smartwatches, and other touchscreen devices, as well as at ticket machines and supermarket checkouts.

        E-Paper Screen
The integrated E-paper screen provides real-time visual feedback by displaying the current grip and grip table you’ve activated.
This feature is particularly valuable for new users learning to navigate a bionic prosthetic arm, as well as for experienced users who wish to explore advanced grip-switching strategies.

        Fast Switching Between Grips
The COVVI Hand offers rapid articulation for opening and closing, providing more intuitive control in everyday interactions.
It takes just 0.8 seconds to fully close in the Power Grip pattern, delivering up to 90 Newtons of force, and only 0.4 seconds in the Tripod Grip pattern.

        Motorised Thumb Design
The COVVI Hand’s thumb allows for powered rotation between opposition and non-opposition. The ‘Thumb Tap’ feature provides quick access to switch between various grips without relying on myoelectric inputs.
This feature is especially beneficial for bilateral users, enabling quick and independent grip changes by simply tapping the thumb on their leg or a nearby hard surface.

        Standby Mode
To prevent unintended actions, the COVVI Hand can be placed in standby mode, temporarily ignoring myoelectric signals. This feature is especially useful when handling delicate objects or holding items for extended periods, such as cutlery or mobile phones.
The dorsal button activates and deactivates this mode, as well as serving as a trigger for changing grip patterns.

        Auto Grip and Relax
When Auto Relax is enabled, the hand will automatically open to a resting position, which gives it a much more natural look and use in social situations.
When Auto Grip is enabled, if the hand senses that an object is slipping, it reapplies a small continuous force to grasp the object, ensuring safe and risk-free object handling.

        Flexing Fingers and Thumb
All the fingers and thumb have passive flex with a spring-loaded feature, which provides impact protection, reducing the likelihood of damage and repairs as the hand flexes out of the way.

        IP44 Rating
The COVVI Hand has been tested and certified with an IP44 rating, which ensures that the hand is protected against solids and water larger than 1mm, as well as sprays and splashes from all directions.
