Free Lock Orthosis (Paediatric)

For those who use a hand or arm orthosis (e.g. a supporting device or partial-hand prosthetic), a special version of this system was developed, the Free Lock Orthosis Grip (FL-OG). This device has been shaped in such a way as to be fitted underneath the socket of a hand or arm orthosis. This can also be used as an assistive paediatric system for young children to help them with riding a bicycle.
As a fully mechanical system, the FL-OG can also be used by people affected by neuromuscular weakness to the muscles or nerves in their arms. Due to being shorter, more compact and lighter, the FL-OG is an ideal solution for children with limb differences and muscle/nerve injuries.
The FL-OG is not installed with a wrist unit, and therefore has to be attached to the socket of the orthosis at just the right distance, height and angle to grip onto the handlebars of a bike or motorcycle properly. This orthosis also includes a Hand Grip, which is a mandatory essential component of the system and is suitable for most motorbikes and bicycles.
Please Note: This product is only available for order through COVVI in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland
