For those who use an upper-limb prosthetic, we would generally recommend a Free Lock Prosthesis Grip (FL-PG), as this system can be attached to the socket in combination with a fixed or changeable wrist adapter with either M12x1.5 or UNF 1/2”x20 threads available. To optimise the range of motion, the FL-PG is fitted with a built-in wrist unit to provide a limited sideways range of motion, supported by a polyurethane dampening block and a stainless steel limiter plate.
In most cases, users can also choose to go ‘incognito’ with their FL-PG via an adapted motorcycle glove. The front part of the FL-PG will slide into the middle finger of the glove, with the palm of the glove being adapted to give the gripping mechanism access to the handlebar.
The Free Lock System is available in two anodised colours: Silver and Black. This prosthesis also includes an HB-Grip-30 Hand Grip as standard, which is a mandatory essential component of the system and is suitable for most motorbikes and bicycles. Spare Hand Grips, as well as RB-Grip-30 Grips designed specifically for road racing bicycles, can be ordered separately.
