Anna Fusco, COVVI Advocate, Stars In Short Film That Encourages Inclusivity

‘Shift’, starring Anna Fusco, is an Italian language film that tells the story of a group of children who go on a journey to discover the value of inclusion, and the power of respect.
Produced by film director Legalità In Corto, the short story was made in collaboration with students of the I. C. Statale “Gino Rossi Vairo” of Agropoli as part of the travelling school project: “Education to Legality, Security and Social Justice”.
The project premiered to a theatre full of both teaching staff and students alike, who had the chance to speak with the films’ creators to further understand the themes and messages behind the story.
Singer, model and actor, Anna Fusco plays the role of a musician who drives forward the central motif of inclusion within the film, something she has also been a champion of within her own life and work.
Anna joined the COVVI advocate line-up at the beginning of February 2025, having been a user and supporter of the COVVI Hand since 2022. Since being fitted with her prosthetic, Anna has upheld inclusive values in everything she does, taking part in a number of campaigns and showcases across Italy that celebrate her limb difference and prosthetic use.
COVVI CEO, Simon Pollard said: “Anna Fusco has been a real force for change over the past year. From walking the runway at Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, to being part of such a poignant project such as this. It’s been an pleasure to see her share so much of her own experiences, as well as having an impact on the experiences of generations to come. Being released just after Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, this film exemplifies the type of advocacy that we want to continue to show year-round here at COVVI.”
