COVVI Have Finally Secured ISO 9001 And 13485 Accreditation
The team at COVVI welcomed two BSI auditors into the business this past week, for a rigorous evaluation that lasted four full days. We are extremely pleased to announce that we have successfully secured the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 accreditations!
BSI is appointed by the government to develop British Standards and represents the UK’s interests in standards development at a European and global level. They assist organisations in instilling the best practices across all industries to open market access and trade, drive innovation, and strengthen consumer trust.
ISO 13485 is the harmonised internationally recognized standard for a Quality Management system in the medical device industry. This standard focuses on patient safety by ensuring consistent quality throughout the entire lifecycle of medical devices, from design and production to disposal. Medical device manufacturing is one of the most regulated sectors and achieving this accreditation means that COVVI as a business is upholding incredibly high standards when it comes to manufacturing medical devices.
ISO 9001 is the International Standard for Quality Management and is one of the most commonly used management tools across the world. It is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and demonstrate that your organisation is customer-focused and committed to delivering high-quality services by having a framework in place that drives improvement while helping to ensure consistent quality in the goods and/or services they offer.

This implementation of a more in-depth and thorough quality management system has massively improved the workflow for COVVI. And this triumph has set the business up well for further growth into new territories around the world. We are exceptionally excited to see the potential in what we can now pursue with this new accreditation.
