COVVI Helps To Fit A Record Number of New Bionic Hand Users in 2026

Between April and June 2026, new COVVI Hand users increased by an estimated 160%*, compared to the same period in 2025.
With a goal of providing advanced prosthetics to people with upper-limb differences ‘all over the world’, COVVI has developed a number of new strategic partnerships within the last six months to expand the availability to our prosthetic technology to more users than ever before.
As COVVI continues to increase access to our prosthetics, we are also growing our product set. Following on from a January launch of two shorter and lighter versions of COVVI’s bionic hand, the new COVVI Touch sensory feedback module is coming soon to add our growing portfolio.
“This is an indicator of great things to come.” COVVI CEO, Simon Pollard, commented, “As a company, we have made huge strides in increasing accessibility to our prosthetics, something we are extremely proud of. A culmination of the incredible work from our expert team throughout the years, we are pleased that so many users around the world are able to benefit from advanced COVVI technology.”
Coming soon to COVVI:
Announced in May, novel touch sensing technology is coming soon to the COVVI Hand.
COVVI Touch has been developed with the purpose of enhancing the level of functionality for people who use upper-limb prosthetics. The upcoming device can provide users with personalised and programmable sensory feedback from all five digits of the bionic hand, an industry first.
Traditionally, information is passed one way from a user’s limb through their socket and to their hand. By installing COVVI Touch, information can now be transferred both ways, allowing users to experience a sense of touch in as fast as 0.5 seconds.
