COVVI Secures Award And £50k R&D Grant

The Cool Idea Award grant, created by Protolabs, is for businesses who want to move beyond prototyping and launch their product to market. They aim to partner with companies that have inventive, game-changing ideas for new products, and help push those product across the finish line with manufacturing grants and promotional support.

As COVVI manufactures medical devices that improve patient quality of life we were a perfect fit for the grant and Protolabs agreed. This manufacturing grant total is determined on a project-to-project basis and can be used for Protolabs’  D printing, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication services.  We can also receive engineering expertise to help analyse our product design for manufacturability or even promote COVVI on their various social channels.

This funding is a massive step towards finetuning the COVVI Hand as it provides us with extra insight and expertise to help us make improvements. We want to be the best of the best and this will definitely support us in achieving that goal.
