Italian Model And Actress, Anna Fusco, Joins COVVI’s Advocate Line-Up
Anna Fusco has been a regular user of the COVVI Hand since she was first fitted in 2022. Now, she has joined COVVI in raising awareness of what is achievable with our bionic hand.
Anna was born with a congenial limb difference, but has never let that hold her back from studying and achieving her passions of singing, acting and dancing.
After participating in several singing competitions, Anna also participated in ‘Miss Italia’ in 2014 and 2018, both times finishing in the regional final. Her first appearance marked the debut of her prosthesis, the first woman to participate in the competition with a prosthetic limb.
Fitted with her COVVI Hand in 2022 by Roberto Ariagno in the Maria Adelaide Orthopedic Workshop in Turin, Anna has been wearing her prosthetic ever since.
Anna told us: “Life presents you with obstacles, but you set the limits. Never hide who you are, because you were born like this. Love your body, because each one of us is unique and must not be afraid to show ourselves for who and what we are! I am proud to be who I am and for the person I have managed to become.”
COVVI CEO, Simon Pollard, remarked: “Having Anna on board as our newest advocate is truly a testament to how much COVVI has been able to change lives around the world. She is a fantastic example of the people that we support and who benefit from the use of our advanced prosthesis.”
In recent years, Anna has continued to focus on her modelling career, taking part in advertising campaigns and fashion showcases for brands across Italy. We can’t wait to follow her journey as she continues to push boundaries, read Anna’s full story: https://www.covvi.com/covvi-advocates/anna-fusco/
