Clinicians And Connect Four: COVVI Showcases Bionic Hand At HangerLive
From 27-30th January, COVVI attended HangerLIVE in Nashville, Tennessee to demonstrate our bionic technology to clinicians from around the US.
Taking place across four jam-packed days, the annual meeting of orthotic and prosthetic professionals from across America involved the sharing of innovation and conversations with leading clinicians. This year’s theme was Future Forward, striving towards the goal of working together to make the future a better place for prosthetic users.
The event is one of the largest of its kind in America, and brings together employees and exhibitors alike to learn and collaborate with colleagues and partners. It was the perfect opportunity for the COVVI team to share what we are doing to support our users around the world.
Director of Clinical Operations, Shubham Agrawal and COVVI advocate Stephen Lowry flew over to Tennessee, returning to the event two years after our last appearance in 2023. Stephen spent time with attendees demonstrating how he uses the COVVI Hand in his daily life, as well as practising his Connect Four and Jenga skills in a showcase of the full dexterity of the hand.
Shubham looked back on his time at the event, saying: “Heading back to HangerLIVE with two years of innovations under our belt is an immense achievement and a testament to how far we have come in such a short space of time. In the time since we last attended, we have continued to develop the COVVI Hand, and now it is in its most advanced and robust form to date. Meeting the clinicians that support our users in the US, as well as demonstrating exactly how our prosthetic is leading the way for innovation on a national stage is truly exciting.”
COVVI CEO, Simon Pollard, said: “This is the first of many showcases the team will be attending in 2025, a year in which we look to achieve so much. HangerLIVE has been a great opportunity to share the work that we have been doing and engage with professionals across the board. We can’t wait to be back again next year.”
