“No Looking Back”, Amber Finally Receives Her COVVI Hand
“Reach for the stars, this phrase was repeating in my head when thinking of the possibility of having a COVVI Hand of my own.” Amber Ayala, a long time supporter of COVVI, has finally been fitted with her own bionic hand after years of unfortunate delays and set backs out of her control. She has always advocated for herself to receive the best of the best in upper-limb prosthetic technology so to see her achieve a goal she’s wanted for so long is truly moving.
Thankfully the hand was fitted just in time for her US-wide summer vacation, so she was kind enough to share incredible photos with us of her travels. We’re excited to see her journey continue as her optimism and positive attitude has been a constant source of inspiration for our team; and shows that through the power of this life-changing technology, anything is possible.
Amber had the following to say about her prosthetic journey so far: “Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been eager to be the best or simply do the best I can in almost every situation. I’ve always been outgoing, spontaneous and even unpredictable, as a girl with limb difference. I found those same intentions to better my quality of life through COVVI.
I saw the opportunities they had to offer with the COVVI Hand and now I am able to carry out everyday tasks and responsibilities with confidence and integrity. All of this is still very new to me and I can’t wait to see my life change over time. There has been no looking back ever since I got my COVVI Hand.”
For Amber, the wait is over and she now gets to enjoy her very own COVVI Hand. Amber will be continuing to document what she gets up to with her newfound freedom. Make sure to follow her Instagram @Amber_BionicJourney to stay in the loop.
