COVVI Passes Second Quality Audit, Retaining Prestigious ISO Accreditations
Coming out of COVVI’s recent visit from the BSI, we are proud to say that we continue to operate at the high-standards befitting of both our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 accreditations for a second year running.
This is an accumulation of a tremendous amount of effort and hard work from the team here at COVVI to ensure that our products are developed and produced to the highest possible standards. As a result of this audit from the BSI, we remain confident that we are adopting the best possible industry practices- supporting our mission to drive innovation, and change the lives of users and industries around the world.
ISO 13485 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality Management systems in the medical device industry, focused on patient safety, and consistent quality through the lifecycle of medical devices. ISO 9001 is the International Standard for Quality Management, designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers. Retaining these accreditations demonstrates COVVI’s customer-focused drive and commitment to delivering high-quality services through a framework that upholds the high standards of manufacturing medical devices.
Simon Pollard, CEO of COVVI, said “Yet another incredible triumph for COVVI, proving our push for exceptional quality standards in every step of our processes. A huge achievement for our busy team, who have been ensuring we remain compliant and maintain both our ISO 9001 and 13485 accreditations. This is a reflection of the thorough and methodical practices that the whole team here adopt, something that I am extremely proud of in my position as CEO.
“Launching our Robotic Hand earlier this year, it has been vital that we enact the same care that we put into the quality for our prosthetics, into COVVI Robotics. I can’t emphasise how important it is to COVVI that high levels of quality assurance are embedded into all that what we do, allowing us to consistently produce world-leading products and services in both prosthetics and robotics.”
Throughout the year since first being awarded the accreditations, COVVI’s expert quality team have been indispensable in making sure that our systems and processes remain compliant, supported by the wider COVVI team every step of the way.
Quality Manager at COVVI, Javid JK, commented: “Achieving zero non-conformances during our BSI surveillance audits for ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 is a significant milestone for our team. It’s a direct reflection of our rigorous quality management practices, our culture of continuous improvement, and the hard work that each team member contributes. This accomplishment reassures our stakeholders that we are committed to delivering high-quality products and services, always adhering to the most stringent industry standards.”
COVVI continues to prove itself, growing into new territories and endeavours around the world with the assurance of quality in every facet of the business.
