Jessica Smith’s Test Socket And Trial Hand Fitted
Shopping, to many, is an everyday task that requires little to no thought. For Jessica Smith however, it has never been second nature; until now. On a recent trip to the supermarket, the Paralympian with her newly fitted COVVI hand, got to experience a different side to being an amputee.
After 30 years without a prosthetic device, you can see how the COVVI hand has provided extra points of contact for Jessica; bringing more freedom and possibilities to her day-to-day life. Her children are amazed at what this technology has allowed their mum to achieve in such a short space of time. The impact it’s had on the whole family is remarkable, with Jessica saying that “seeing and hearing her excitement, is what makes me so happy!.”
As the team behind the device, it makes us immensely proud to have someone as inspirational as Jessica, showcasing COVVI to the world. We’re genuinely blown away by this footage, and we wanted to share it to continue our goal of raising awareness of this technology and the significant difference it can make to those with limb loss or a limb difference.
Please join us in our mission by following our page and sharing this post with anyone who you think might benefit from this technology. By working together, we can action real positive change to the many lives of upper-body prosthetic users forever.
