Sky News Reports On How The COVVI Hand Is Helping Troops In Ukraine
During a recent visit to the Tytanova Rehabilitation Centre in Kyiv, Sky News captured how the COVVI Hand is being used to help rehabilitate soldiers that have been injured on the frontlines in Ukraine.
Sky’s Stuart Ramsey, met with a number of amputees who are using the facilities in Kyiv to recover from injuries that they sustained during the conflict. Describing COVVI’s technology as ‘extra-ordinary’, Ramsey detailed how users were being supported to learn how to send messages to their muscles in order to control the COVVI Hand.
One of the users that the Sky team caught up with was Oleksandr Solomiany, a soldier who lost his arm last December in the Battle of Bakhmut. Speaking of how the rehabilitation centre is supporting him, Oleksandr told the film crew: “This arm helps me with my routine, with my everyday tasks- I feel better with this arm.”
COVVI CEO, Simon Pollard, said: “Being able to support the rehabilitation of people that have been through so much serves as a reminder of the impact our innovative technology can have. We are extremely proud that the COVVI Hand continues to change the lives of people all around the world.”
